The IEEE International Conference on Blockchain and Cryptocurrency (ICBC) 2026 will be the 8th edition of the conference, sponsored by IEEE Communications Society, will be held in Brisbane, Australia from 1-5 June 2026. The conference will host a number of focused workshops around the broad theme of Blockchains, Cryptocurrencies, and their applications. The IEEE ICBC 2026 workshops offer a dynamic forum for academic researchers and industry practitioners to disseminate their research experiences, original research achievements, and practical development products pertaining to specific novel challenges and emerging issues associated with blockchain technology. The themes of the workshops and symposia should align with the scope of the main conference, reflecting advancements in all aspects of blockchain and cryptocurrencies.
The organisers of the workshops shall assume responsibility for soliciting calls for papers, forming a programme committee to review and select papers, as well as planning the programme for the workshops. The main conference will provide the facilities for the workshops, including meeting rooms, proceedings, and so forth. The papers of the IEEE ICBC 2026 workshops will be published in the proceedings of the main conference by IEEE (EI Indexed) and collected by IEEE Xplore Digital Library.

IMPORTANT DATES
The workshop proposed timeline is as follows:
- Workshop Papers Submission Deadline (Firm): March 25, 2025
- Final Acceptance Notification: April 20, 2026
- Camera-ready Submission: April 30, 2026
- Workshop Date: June 5, 2026
This timeline considers papers from the main track to be fixed and re-submitted to the workshops. The submission deadline could be different than the proposed one. But a workshop should have sufficient time, say 4-6 weeks, for peer reviews. Generally, each paper should receive 3 or more peer reviews.
In order to encourage the workshop organisers, the main conference will also provide the following benefits to the workshop organisers: If a workshop will have at least 10 full registrations for accepted papers (excluding those borderline papers transferred from the main conference), then the main organisers can also invite one keynote speaker for the workshop and the conference will provide free registration to the workshop for the keynote speaker.
Looking forward to your proposals and contributions to IEEE ICBC 2026!
